Basic concept of the project
AQJRO PROJECT is an independent cinematic 3D universe and an ongoing research and development project focused on science-fiction worldbuilding, digital asset creation, and a structured OpenUSD production pipeline.
The project brings together environments, characters, vehicles, materials, procedural systems, and cinematic Look Dev within a cohesive fictional universe. Each asset is designed not only as a visual element, but as a structured and reusable component of a larger digital production environment.
The long-term objective is to develop a complete cinematic world in which artistic direction, asset development, and production technology are integrated into a single coherent system.
The Lore & Universe
The story takes place on an experimental space station constructed around a captured black hole contained by a powerful stabilization field.
The singularity serves a dual purpose. It acts as an extraordinary energy source capable of supporting advanced matter-synthesis systems while also providing a gateway to alternative realities.
The station therefore becomes more than a conventional research facility. It is a technological gateway between different physical environments and realities, providing the foundation for exploration, experimentation, and the development of the AQJRO universe.
The science-fiction setting incorporates concepts inspired by astrophysics, quantum physics, energy systems, and theoretical cosmology, using them as creative foundations for the visual and narrative design of the project.
The Characters

Ugun-Way — the protagonist, an impulsive and vision-driven half-human, half-demon hybrid caught between two worlds.

The Droid — an advanced biomechanical companion with a soft-silicone body and high-level artificial intelligence. She serves as the cognitive core of the team.

M1 — a heavy-duty industrial robot designed for physical labor, maintenance, and complex engineering operations throughout the station.

LiLiLu — a playful, loyal dog whose presence introduces warmth, personality, and humor into the highly technological environment.

Tengu — a futuristic flying motorcycle designed as an interdimensional vehicle capable of transporting its rider through portals into alternative environments and realities.
Technical Pipeline
AQJRO PROJECT is developed primarily with Autodesk Maya, Pixar USD, and Arnold, with additional procedural and simulation workflows integrated where required.
A central part of the project is the use of OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description) as the foundation for structured scene composition, asset organization, and non-destructive production workflows.
The project follows the AQJRO Asset Standard (AAS), a project-specific framework for organizing digital assets, USD layers, naming conventions, metadata, materials, and scene composition.
The pipeline is designed around the principle that individual USD layers contain clearly defined categories of production data. This allows assets to remain modular, reusable, and independently manageable while supporting larger assemblies and complex cinematic environments.
Through this approach, AQJRO PROJECT explores how a fictional cinematic universe can be developed not only as a collection of visual assets, but as a structured digital production environment built around OpenUSD principles.
Project Direction
The long-term direction of AQJRO PROJECT is to develop a complete cinematic environment that combines worldbuilding, character design, asset development, Look Dev, procedural workflows, and OpenUSD-based production technology.
The project therefore exists at the intersection of art, technology, and digital production research, with the Experimental Station serving as the primary environment in which these systems are developed and demonstrated.
