About the Project

AQJRO PROJECT

Independent Cinematic 3D Universe & OpenUSD Production Pipeline

Since 2020, AQJRO PROJECT has been developed as an independent cinematic 3D universe combining science-fiction worldbuilding with a structured, production-oriented digital asset pipeline.

At its core is a virtual experimental space station — a high-tech and mysterious environment designed as the central setting for an evolving cinematic world. The project brings together environments, characters, vehicles, materials, and procedural systems within a unified visual identity and Look Dev.

The universe is inhabited by a distinct cast of characters:

  • Ugun-Way — a half-human, half-demon entity caught between two worlds.

  • M1 — a loyal robotic companion.

  • The Droid — a soft-silicone biomechanical sidekick.

  • LeLeLu — a faithful dog adapted to the station's environment.

  • Tengu — a futuristic flying motorcycle built for high-speed exploration.

Beyond its artistic development, AQJRO PROJECT explores a structured OpenUSD-based production workflow. Assets are developed as organized, reusable digital components with defined composition, geometry, materials, metadata, and Look Dev layers.

The project is built primarily with Autodesk Maya, Pixar USD, and Arnold, with the AQJRO Asset Standard (AAS) providing a consistent framework for asset organization, naming, metadata, and USD composition.

AQJRO PROJECT is both a cinematic world and an ongoing research and development effort — exploring how a cohesive fictional universe can be built, structured, assembled, and ultimately used as a production-ready digital environment.
